The story behind the image
We found the Scottish coast between Fraserburgh and Elgin to be extremely beautiful. You’ll have beaches, towns, cliffs, secluded villages, lighthouses, golf courses. Countless photo stops slowed us down, so it took us almost a day to get from Rattray Head to Elgin, a distance of just 70 miles.
This is a view along the waterfront of Macduff which is dominated by the Macduff Parish Church. Next to the church you see the Cross of Macduff, a historical high cross.
The only notable change are the stairs that lead into the water (on the right.) Even in 2005, it was obvious that they were broken. But it took another couple of years until they were removed. (This has happened between 2011 and 2015.)
