The story behind the image
We strongly recommend to visit the village of Mammoth Lakes. It is beautiful, and the surrounding nature is simply breathtaking! When you drive up Lake Mary Road you will also pass the Twin Falls Overlook which offers stunning views across the Twin Lakes and the Inyo National Forest.
For this post I looked up recent Google Streetview images and am happy to confirm that the area has not significantly changed over the past two decades. Some trees have broken off but that’s about it. It still is a place of extreme beauty and peace, and at that well worth the drive.
