The story behind the image
Exactly 22 years ago I could be seen roaming Mexico City, exploring not just the surroundings of my hotel but also the city center. I was stunned by the combination of historic and modern architecture.
This image shows the Centro Bursatil which stands out at the Avenida Paseo de la Reforma 255. I think it is remarkable because from my location at the Glorieta del Ahuehuete it appeared to have a really small footprint, just like a thin slice. When you look at it from the sky, the building has the form of a triangle, though.
The pixel size is tiny by today’s standards, but the image quality is still okayish and supports smaller prints. Please keep in mind that these were different times in terms of photo technology.
