The story behind the image
In Simon’s Town near Cape Town you will find Boulders Beach. It has become world famous for the African Penguin or ‘Jackass Penguin’, which lives here next to the homes of the human settlers. In 1982, the penguins decided that Simon’s Town would be a cool place to live and stayed. Today, there are several thousands of them. They are absolutely friendly and do not mind being photographed. 🙂 They made the small town a tourist hot spot.
