The story behind the image
In 1999, we did short trip to Florence in Italy which is a great year-round destination but even better early in summer.
This photo shows two beautiful historic houses at the Piazza di Santa Croce (number 10, left, and number 11, right.) These must have been the historic version of ‘tiny houses’ as they are quite narrow but with five floors (plus ground floor) very high.
The late afternoon light was casting long shadows already, adding structure and saturation to the image.
At the time of writing, the place presents itself almost unchanged which is very nice (in my view.)
