The story behind the image
On our way towards Tofino on Vancouver Island, B.C. we stopped by at the Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park. A short hike provides with an impression of how the woods of Vancouver Island used to look in the past. As rural as B.C. can be, conveniently situated next to the highway from Parksville to Port Alberni.
I spotted this spider next to the path in the park. It had built its net and sat in the center waiting for insects to catch. I liked the way the net was illuminated by the sunlight which made it stand out against the background.
Nice, and a bit scary.
