The story behind the image
Yesterday I shared an image of Mono Lake, the iconic beauty best known (for older folks) from the inner sleeve of the 1975 Pink Floyd classic album Wish You Were Here.
Here is another shot of that late afternoon: A small family gazes at the lake from its shore. The sun was about to set soon and our location was already in the shadow. The family and the rocks close to the shore were reduced to mere silhouettes while the water was reflecting the clear sky. The opposite shore was still illuminated by the sunlight.
I love this image for its clear concept, its strong contrast and gentle colors in the back.
