The story behind the image
From Portree in Scotland we started directly towards the northern tip of the Isle of Skye. We had not seen that many highland cattle on our trip through Scotland yet and we were quite surprised to find quite a number of them near Kilvaxter and – on our way back – at the Loch Sligachan.
These animals are impressing: huge, but peaceful. But we still recommend to not coming too close, or getting between them and their calves, because they can be quite fast!
I was wondering whether these guys actually see anything, or do they rely on their hearing? Well, we don’t know, but I like their “grungy” and cool look.
