The story behind the image
Bellaria-Igea Marina – probably one of the finest beaches at the Adriatic Sea. At least in my mind. We’ve been there for several years now and never regretted any of the trips.
One morning in 2024, I walked to the beach in the morning with my Canon EOS M6 Mark II to enjoy the Blue Hour and sunrise. This time I tried a super long exposure from the mole. I included the tiny southern light pole and waited until one of the fishing vessels came from behind.
I admit that I had hoped for slightly more dramatic traces of the positioning lights. But I really adore the sparkling on the water from the reflection of the lights on the ship. Never seen anything like that on any of my images before.
Go figure.
