The story behind the image
The Scottish North Sea Coast is awesome, one giant quiet place where people have adapted to the powers of nature. They built villages in secluded places that are difficult to reach and far away from everywhere. Just like Crovie, a small secluded village at the seaside. Edinburgh? It’s far away: The fastest route is 3 hours 30 minutes – today, and by car, and only if you take the highway non-stop.
So we took our time to explore this stretch of the coast and stopped around noon in Gardenstown. The long pier was a good place to take this shot of Gamrie Bay and Crovie with my 70-210 mm tele lens.
Lovely.
