The story behind the image
Here’s a shot across the city of Cagliari on Sardinia. I captured this in the early afternoon from the stairs leading up to the Bastione di Santa Caterina in the city center. I think its a rather unusual image because it does not put the Mediterranean Sea into the center of attention but the size of the city, how green it actually is, and the generally relaxed lifestyle.
When we were visiting in 2010, there was a restaurant on the Piazette David Herbert Lawrence right beneath the stairs, and some people were enjoying a late lunch there. (We stopped by for a coffee, by the way.)
Nice.
