The story behind the image
Cagliari is an old city with a rich history, a large working harbor, stunning architecture and a lot of southern charme. This makes it an awesome place for photographers. You will find good photo opportunities almost everywhere.
From the David Herbert Lawrence you have fantastic views across the city. Several benches invite for a rest in the busy city. And on one of these benches, someone had written the words ‘I Love You’ in several languages. This simplicity struck me, and I took a number of shots of the bench. The wide open aperture added spice due to the soft blur it created.
