The story behind the image
For a couple of years I’ve adopted the habit of running regularly. And for vacations, I usually do not make a difference. I pack the running shoes and run 5 to 10 km in the morning. This enables me to enjoy the silence of the early morning hours before tourists roam on the streets, traffic sets in, and shops open their doors.
During our summer trip to Bansin in Germany I was lucky to have a beautiful track (from Bansin towards Ahlbeck, and back) right next to the Baltic Sea. That morning, I finished my 5k run at the Bansin sea pier, admired the sunrise and took an image with my smartphone.
Lovely.
