The story behind the image
On Christmas Eve 2017 we decided to visit the mountain animal reserve of Blindham in Bavaria. The sun was shining through the trees of the forest, and where the warm beams hit the ground, small clouds of mist did develop, turning the forest into a mystical place.
I did not bring the pro gear, but fortunately I had my smartphone. And guess what? This image is almost straight from the original image file. I just gently increased contrast and saturation. Otherwise the image is presented “as is”. A really good – no make that “great” – shot.
Time and again I am amazed what technology can do today. If I remember the beginnings of digital photography, I really like this development.
