AUGUST 1988 – Field of sunflowers near Bordeaux, France. Photo © by Mark Zanzig/zanzig.com
The story behind the image
I had never seen a field of sunflowers before and was overwhelmed when I did during our trip from the North of Germany to Portugal in 1988. Near Bordeaux the sunflower fields were ubiquitous, and I captured this photo during a stop.
I love the reduced color space and seemingly endless sea of yellow.
A good image to start this week. 🙂
