The story behind the image
For weddings, I usually recommend to book (almost) the full day. This enables me to get acquainted with the bride and groom, cover the dressing and the essential time before the wedding ceremony – which most couples may forget as the time rushes by so quickly. Of course, the ceremony and the events that follow are covered as well, and the party.
Here’s a nice shot from a private wedding I was invited to in 2023. The formal photo coverage was long over, and the everyone enjoyed the games and party. For a short moment the couple rested and I realized that the bride had secretly changed into more comfortable shoes – bright white Converse Chucks – “to survive the night,” she added with a big smile.
How cool is that?!
P.S.: Of course, the resolution is mediocre, especially as the phone picked ISO 800, but I still like the shot as it shows how bridal fashion has advanced over time.
