The story behind the image
A beautiful day early in spring triggered our desire to hike up to the Erlbergkopf in the Bavarian Alps. It’s an easy hike that provides several beautiful views, especially from the top at 1134 meters.
So we drove to Aschau im Chiemgau, parked our car near the Gschwendtnerhof and started the hike. (There is an official car park further down the road, but we wanted to walk a bit longer.)
Oh, the joy! To breathe fresh, tasty, clean air. To discover the simple wonders of nature. To make new experiences. And relax.
My photo captures the view from the top of the Erlbergkopf using the panoramic photo function of my smartphone which did a surprisingly good job. Of course, I’d love a higher resolution but it is what it is, and I like it.
By the way, here’s the full track of the hike to the Erlbergkopf.
