The story behind the image
Yesterday, we’ve been to the concert of Tim Kamrad (who releases his music simply as Kamrad) in Munich, Germany. It’s been a fantastic concert by a young artist who had several smash hits over the past couple of years. He also was one of the coaches of the TV show The Voice of Germany 2024 and certainly contributed to its success.
During the Munich concert he showed his many facettes – from rock to hip hop to dancefloor – a cross-over mix that makes him difficult to grasp (or put into a drawer.) And this did not reduce the quality of the concert at all. Quite the contrary! It was super entertaining, and the roughly 1,200 fans were satisfied, especially as he played all his hits but included also a journey back to the very beginnings of his career as professional musician. When the looping device failed for the song Changes he could easily bridge the time until it got repaired by the stage crew. Awesome!
The Muffathalle, in case you don’t know, is a medium sized concert hall in Munich that is perfectly suited for getting to know an artist or a band close-up. It was almost an old-school concert experience as there were no huge video screens (and thus, no TV crews), and the crowd got very close to the stage and the band. And the sound was brilliant.
I took this photo with my smartphone, so the lack of size and quality is a bit embarrassing but still acceptable in smaller sizes and for web use. I still like it as it shows the engagement and power of Kamrad’s performance.
My tip: If you have an opportunity to get tickets for the remaining concerts of his 2025 “Friends” tour, do yourself a favor and buy them. You won’t regret it.
