The story behind the image
In 1995, I re-visited Alvor in Portugal, one of the many nice towns along the south coast of the Algarve region. The town had grown organically and had a fabulous long beach. A small working harbour added to the attractiveness.
My ex and I stayed at one of the holiday appartments of the Alvormar Apartamentos Turisticos – at least, that’s the name in 2025 – and we enjoyed it massively. The building is strategically positioned between the beach (which is just a 10 minute walk away) and the town center (a 3 minute walk).
We were just blown away by the interior gardens which really made a difference, especially on hot days.
Over the past three decades, the palm trees have grown significantly, and the building has been renovated. It now looks even better.
I would not think twice and stay there again anytime. 🙂
