The story behind the image
There is something distinctively special about the light in California. It seems to be clearer than elsewhere, and when the sun has set against a cloudless sky, the neon signs will be switched on and provide this unique American feeling.
On our trip to California in 2003, we found this sign for Merry-Go-Round, today a Chinese Restaurant, next to the Seasons Restaurant in Lone Pine, California. The bright neon letters go really well with the beautiful sky of the blue hour.
Very nice.
