The story behind the image
While the calendar officially had switched to Spring in 2009, we stayed for a weekend with several friends at the Simal Alm in Saalbach, Austria. The snow was melting away down in the valley already, but conditions at the higher location of the Alm were perfect!
The ski lift – coveniently located right next to the building – was open, much to the enjoyment of the majority of the group. I am not a skier, you know, so I enjoyed a sunbath on the patio. Then someone arrived with a snowmobile and parked it at the edge of the hill – and, having nothing else to do, I took a photo.
Exciting. 🙂
And this concludes the mini-series about snow images. Hope you enjoyed them as much as I did!
