The story behind the image
Weddings. So many things can go wrong during the all-important day.
The couple had put together an exciting schedule for the day but the weather would just not play nice. Not at all. As soon as we arrived in Herrsching am Ammersee in Bavaria, dark clouds were coming up, and the private excursion on the lake was literally drowned in heavy rain and blown away by gushy winds. The ship departed as planned and cruised the lake but it was (probably less than) half of the experience of a warm and sunny afternoon.
Later on, at night, the couple had arranged for fireworks. Yeah! But – the rain had not stopped and the clouds were still hanging quite low over the lake. The fireworks exploded – in the clouds!
Anyway, it was an awesome party with lots of fun (and some very nice shots, too.)
