The story behind the image
During our 1988 trip along the Algarve region in Portugal we found countless beautiful beaches. Some of them were secluded and some of them close to the busy economical centers of the region. This is Praia do Canavial near Lagos, and the sight of the clear blue and green water blew us totally away.
I did a fresh scan from the original color negative and was astonished at the high quality I could get out of a 33 year old film. I had a 7 x 10 cm print from 1988 which is in good condition but the new scan beats the print in all aspects. And it’s nice to get 29 Megapixels out of a negative.
