The story behind the image
At the beginning of the winter 2023/2024 we had a lot of snow in Bavaria, including Unterhaching. Despite having lived in the Munich area for almost three decades, I could not remember such masses of snow falling so early in the winter. (Heck, the calendar even says it was late in autumn!)
I shot this image of the snow covered Christmas tree on the market in our town. I think it is the perfect vision of a beautiful December night in the Bavarian Alps.
