The story behind the image
Back in 1999 I visited Bologna in Italy for the very first time, and I immediately fell in love with the city. While we explored the streets I encountered several attractive locations, and situations that were just typical for Italy.
Piazza Maggiore is such a location. Busy during almost all times of the day, it is also a place to take a break, meet and chat. People just sit down and watch the activity. Today, 25 years after I took my image, very little has changed.
Love it.
