The story behind the image
We had checked in at our hotel in Page, Arizona, in the late afternoon. It was far too late for visiting the Antelope Canyon (which should be visited around noon anyway) and too early for dinner. So we asked at the hotel reception for other attractions in the area. The friendly clerk pointed suggested Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell as spectacular sights. And she was right.
After a very short ride with the car we visited the dam that blocks the streams of multiple rivers, forming Lake Powell.
I really like the deep blue color of the lake that contrsts well with the light red rocks that form the former canyon. Super nice.
