The story behind the image
Here is yet another image from our recent trip to Paris in France. We stayed in a hotel oppsite of the new opera at the Place de la Bastille, and it was just natural for us to explore the surroundings.
At the Canal Saint Martin we were quite surprised to see a busy harbour with countless large and small boats, some of them even used as house boats! How cool is that?!
I took this image of the canal from the Passerelle de Mornay, with the monument of the Place de la Bastille overtowering the scene. By the way, the Bastille Metro station can be seen at the end of the canal.
The weather was not perfect, but I like the image anyway. 🙂
