The story behind the image
When exploring the magnificient Lago Maggiore (aka Langensee in German) in the Alps, you will almost certainly visit the city of Ascona. It is situated on the Swiss side of the lake and combines the best of both worlds: you get Swiss reliability and Italian lifestyle.
I took this typical postcard shot photo of the town center with its lakeside promenade (aka Lungolago) from Piazza Giuseppe Motta and included the tiny harbour in the front.
Lovely.
