The story behind the image
The west coast of Sardinia, the ‘Costa Verde’ (‘Green Coast’) is a region that has been widely ignored by mass tourism so far. It’s rather challenging to get there over bumpy, long winded and sometimes steep roads, but once you get there you can enjoy beautiful beaches of all sizes in tranquility.
It is home to some Lost Places as well.
We were coming from the Spiaggia di Piscinas with its nice dunes and ultimate tranquility. Suddenly, the ruins of a huge industrial area appeared next to the road – the Laveria Brassey. A Vespa motorcycle drove by, disturbing the silence of the place, but I liked the contrast between a moving motorcycle and the ruins.
An interesting place for sure.
