The story behind the image
Our 2010 trip to the island of Sardinia was a photographic feast. Sardinia has so many beautiful sights that it’s impossible to visit them all in just two weeks.
One morning we drove down to the Capo San Marco, a peninsula at the western coast of the island. At the Spiaggia di San Giovanni di Sinis you can clearly see that the strong waves rolling in from the Mediterranean Sea.
Still there were some visitors who had opted for this side of the peninsula. They had put up their sun umbrellas in the colors of the Italian national flag (green – white – red). Well, the white umbrella is not really white (rather white with blue stripes), but heck. I found this image quite funny, and I like it.
