The story behind the image
On our way into the Scotish Highlands we stayed for a night in Lairg, a sleepy village situated directly at the beautiful Loch Shin, a good stop on your way to the North. The next morning we visited the Falls of Shin, enjoyed a forest walk and the (not so) dramatic waterfalls.
Right in front of our B&B (the very nice Carnbren B&B) was Loch Shin and a reservoir that fed the nearby power station.
The evening view across the reservoir was beautiful and memorable, despite the clouds that hang over the area. There was almost no traffic anymore, and it was really quiet and peaceful.
