The story behind the image
This morning I shared an impressive image of a Jaguar Mark 2 3.8 Litre in Bern, Switzerland, which I did not drive myself. Here’s a less impressive car that I did drive: A Citroën Saxo 2-door car. It was the only car that the car rental company had available for us when we spontaneously inquired for a three-day rent on the island of Tenerife.
The weather forecast had been good, and we had decided to explore the island which belongs to Spain but is situated in the Atlantic Ocean in front of the African coast.
And so you could see us speeding across the island in this small car. It served its purpose well, especially in the smaller villages which called for smaller cars. We could visit all the exciting locations on the island, from Santa Cruz in the North-East, to Los Gigantes in the West.
Funny memories.
