The story behind the image

We had purchased Metro tickets when we arrived in Paris, France, as we knew we would use them. However, we still walked a lot, because we found the flair of the city on the streets extremely attractive. There is so much to see and do!

I remember that someone said that Paris is one of the capitals for filmmaking. It’s not a surprise for France as Paris is the capital of the country, and many businesses have their (French) headquarters here.

So we were not surprised to see real film crews in the streets. If I remember correctly, we saw three different sets during our short trip, all of them big ones, with catering, light, and traffic deviations.

The photo above shows a location in the St. Germain des Prés quarter (in the Rue Guillaume Apollinaire, 6th arrondissement). It’s the Silencio des Prés club which belongs to a chain with venues in New York City, Ibiza, and Cannes. And a second one in Paris.

Looking at the equisite interieur, it’s no surprise that the filmmakers chose this location for their movie.
