The story behind the image
In 2003 we did a long walk on a beautiful spring day from Tutzing at the Starnberger See in Bavaria up to the Ilkahöhe which provides stunning panoramic views across the lake – and if you are lucky – the Alps.
We were not lucky that day, as there was some haze over the Starnberger See blocking the mountain panorama. Yet, I took a number of nice photos. This one shows the Forsthaus Ilkahöhe restaurant and beergarden with its patio full of guests enjoying the warm spring sun (and presumably good food and a beer or two.)
