The story behind the image
When we finally arrived in County Mayo in Ireland we were stunned by the absolute transquility and peace of the region. There were just very few cars and trucks on the roads, and we felt genuine peace and pure relaxation coming upon us. We breathed the fresh air, listened to the gentle wind blowing, and enjoyed watching this single sheep that we encountered along R314 at the northern shore of the county!
I love the reduced color set – just blue, green, and white. The viewer will be puzzled as to the ripples in the sky before he realizes that he’s looking at the ocean.
So simple, so nice.
