The story behind the image
In 1999, we visited the city of Florence in Tuscany, Italy, for an extended weekend. While it was still rather cold in Germany, it was almost summer-like in Tuscany. This enabled us to take long walks and explore the city and its surroundings.
One of the surprise attractions was certainly the Basilica di San Lorenzo in the city center. Its interior garden is probably one of the most quiet places you can find in Florence. If you want to escape the buzz of the city and find a bit of peace for a moment, this is the place to go.
The weather was just so-so, and I think I need to return to this stunning place in the future (when the weather is better.)
