The story behind the image
Our hotel in Paris was located close to the (new) opera at Place de la Bastille. One morning we started off to explore the city, starting at the Canal Saint Martin where several boats have been gathered in a small harbour. Some of them seem to be used a house boats, and this is a surprising sight so close to the center of the city.
Anyway, from entrance to the park opposite Rue Biscornet I took this nice view of the Place de la Bastille with the top of the monument being illuminated by the morning sun.
