The story behind the image
Enroute from Moab to Bryce Canyon National Park we took a small detour to the Goblin Valley State Park. At the park we experienced the rock formations that are called “Goblins” probably because of their small size and somewhat cuddly look.
From the Goblin Valley Road – a cul de sac that ends at the Goblin Valley overlook – we were greeted by The Three Sisters, a formation that seems to be placed on top of a platform.
We also walked down into the Valley to see the Goblins from its base. It is really a strange experience, especially if there are not too many tourists around. You easily get lost in the Goblins, as they are arranged in a maze-like pattern.
