The story behind the image
Last Sunday we visited the Oktoberfest, and I took a fun shot with greetings for my friends. Of course, it’s a generic picture that could have been taken in 2019, 2009, or 1989 as well. I like that continuity, though, and am glad that the Fest is back in full swing this year (after having been cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.)
In 2022, by the way, the Fest was pretty slow, because people were not sure whether it would be smart to go. Since 2023, however, it’s back to normal just as if nothing had ever happened.
Go figure.
