The story behind the image
Oh no! Not another shot from Bellaria Igea Marina near Rimini in Italy! Oh, yes – and it’s a beautiful one! 😉
A few weeks ago I did not run in the morning but took my camera to discover more beautiful scenes and locations at the beach before sunset.
I had a tiny tripod with me and placed it close to the ground and near the water. The rescue boat was already looking very good as it rested on the water. Imagine my joy when a bagnino walked by, carrying the paddles of the rescue boat. He placed them on the boat in preparation for the day to come.
I had the camera placed perfectly, the settings were right, and so I could shoot a couple of images of the scene. The exposure time of 4 seconds blurred the motions of the bagnino and smoothed the tiny waves of the Mediterranean Sea even further.
Awesome.
