The story behind the image
We were exploring the coast of Québec in Canada and found Matane, a friendly town right next to the Saint Lawrence River. The large sign post advertised an Antique Voitures show. An opportunity we did not want to miss.
This 1973 Dodge Challenger was on exhibition. When I was a kid, this was the car of my dreams. Powerful. Elegant. Fast. And I swear that I had a Matchbox model car of this type.
The Challenger was a muscle car built by Dodge to compete with the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro, hence the name. The car exhibited come from the 1st generation of Challengers built from 1970-74.
I used a very wide angle for this frontal view of the car and put the focus this time on the silver Dodge label mounted in the center of the hood.
A timeless classic.
