The story behind the image
In the early morning, during the ‘blue hour’ before sunrise, you can catch some of the most beautiful shots, especially when you are at the sea.
This is a shot of a recent trip to Bellaria Igea Marina, a fishing village near Rimini in Italy that over the decades has become a popular summer destination. But the village has not cut off his heritage yet and is an active working harbour today. The fishermen depart every morning, and I captured the harbour during amazing light of the early morning before sunrise.
The very long exposure of 32 seconds has blurred the water and added a nicely shaped star from a street lamp in the distance. It’s noteworthy that this image is almost straight from the camera with just very few edits.
Love it.
