The story behind the image
In 2003, we spent two nights at the southern rim of the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. The weather had been perfect for the past couple of days, and so we were able to experience the national park perfectly.
This panorama image – composed from three individual photos – shows the view from the Grand Viewpoint on the South Rim, and I think it is indeed “grand”, especially in the details provided. The only drawback of this photo is a certain flatness of the scene. This is because I shot it during noon or afternoon (I can’t remember), eliminating the depth added by longer shadows in the morning, late afternoon and during sunrise and sunset.
Heck, I like the image anyway. 🙂
