The story behind the image

The other day I shared an image from the town center of Beallaria Igea Marina, a busy tourist village at the Adriatic coast near Rimini that could preserve its traditional lifestyle. There is activity year round even during the slow winter season. It has an active fleet of fishing vessels, and everything you might expect from a genuine town.

One Sunday evening we went to the beach after sunset. The Blue Hour was in full swing, but sadly I had just brought the smartphone, so the technical quality of the image is just so-so. Apparently there are limits in what these little helpers can do.

What it did perfectly, though, is capturing the mood. And this is what counts (for me.)
