The story behind the image
Villach in Austria is a large, busy town (or a small city – this depends on your point of view.) Villach is situated close to Italy and Slovenia, so it’s a perfect place to visit these countries as well.
When we spent a week at the Faaker See – just outside of Villach – in 2016., we booked a trip on the river Drau, from Graschitz to the town center of Villach and back. It was a pleasant ride on the calm river on a sunny day.
When we approached Villach, I captured this view of the Heiligenkreuzkirche, a roman-catholic church. I really like the tidiness of the scene – clear blue sky, the calm river, and the clean colors.
Lovely.
