The story behind the image
I’d attribute the label of ‘magic’ to Cape Town in South Africa. Here, you will meet a wide range of cultures with a rich and diverse history, explore stunning landscapes and discover countless opportunities for exciting photos.
I captured this view of the working harbour in Cape Town in the late afternoon. The sun had begun to dip the scene into warm orange tones, casting long shadows already. The maritime atmosphere that we liked so much was just incredible: The fish trawlers, the cranes, the blue sea. Mesmerizing!
Looking at recent photos of the location I see that the location has not changed substantially over the past 20 years. Heck, even some of the ships seem to be still there.
Amazing.
