The story behind the photo
This photo from our family archive shows my mother Inga (14) on a horse in St.-Peter-Ording in Germany. The family business was doing well, and the family could afford a summer break and the riding lessons at the Lilienthal stable. This formed the basis for her (short) career in horse jumping.
One cool feature of the stable were rides at the long beach of St. Peter, which was pretty close. At the time of writing, the stable is still operated by the Lilienthal family, and they still offer stunning rides at the beach!
