The story behind the image
When visiting Cape Town in South Africa, please do yourself a favor and visit the Cape of Good Hope as well. While you certainly will not be alone there, the drive to and from the Cape will be stunning. Turn after turn you will discover new exciting sights.
We did so on our third day of our 2004 trip to South Africa when we explored the Cape Peninsula. For this photo we stopped in Saint James, a sleepy village along the M4 with a small, but beautiful beach. The colored beach huts are quite popular among photographers and made it to some fame over the years.
