The story behind the image
After a relatively short drive from Hannover in Germany we had arrived in Hamburg and checked in to our hotel, the excellent Motel One Hamburg Alster. Friendly staff, well-designed and clean rooms, a super breakfast (even if it can get crowded at the buffet), and a location next to a subway station. The Alster is just a stone-throw away, so what could we possibly want more. Yeah, a garage. They have that, too.
When we returned from dinner, the light of the setting sun was illuminating the building nicely, underlining the brownish tone of the walls, and I took this almost graphical shot.
There’s no deep meaning to it, but I like it anyway.
