The story behind the image
The comedians of Monty Python used to say: “And now for something completely different.” Et voilá.
Shrimps.
Büsum in Northern Germany is a busy tourist destination at all times, even during late winter and early spring. This surprised us, because it had been rather cold and windy during our short trip to the North Sea in 2007. But when we arrived in Büsum, it was busy with tourists. There where fisher boats arriving at the harbor, unloading their nightly catch – North Sea Shrimps – right in front of the visitors. The afternoon light was beautiful, and I took a close-up shot right from above the boxes containing the shrimps.
The shrimps can’t get any more fresh than here, so we grabbed two of the traditional shrimp rolls from one of the shacks selling snacks and sat down at the harbor to enjoy the tasty food.
